About the post:

This work has its origin in the concern of its author for an event that occurred at the beginning of the transition: certain figures, from the Franco regime and who held key positions in the first Government of the UCD, gave the order to burn practically all the documentation preserved in police files of the Civil Guard and other organizations that had assumed the dictatorial repression. Thus, it was difficult for historians to know the real dialectic that unfolded between those who supported the Franco regime and those who made inevitable, after Franco's death, the assumption of a democracy inspired by European models. The author of this book, who had militated since who was a young university student in the democratic opposition to Francoism and suffered various sanctions, considered it a moral duty to reconstruct the historical truth that he had lived.
