CONTEMPORARY INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS: POLITICS, WORKERS AND SOCIETY MAKERS

HISTAGRA AT THE CONTEMPORARY INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS: POLITICIANS, WORKERS AND SOCIETY MAKERS
On October 20 and 21, 2022, the CONTEMPORARY INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS: POLITICS, WORKERS AND SOCIETY MAKERS will be held in Santiago de Comnpostela, in which HISTAGRA collaborates through the organizers Ana Cabana Iglesia and Xosé Ramón Veiga Alonso, and the moderator of table Margarita Barral Martínez.
The International Congress to be held in Santiago de Compostela in October 2022 on the 150th anniversary of the death of Juana de Vega, seeks, from a triple perspective -political, economic and social-, to contribute to improving and disseminating knowledge regarding contemporary women of Juana de Vega, diverse women who were her "contemporaries" (19th century and first third of the 20th). The congress is organized in three sessions that will have as their central axis the conferences of two renowned specialists in the subject of women's history per session, but it seeks to have communications that give visibility to women who, during the 1800s and until 1936/9, were decisive in a process, still unfinished today, denormalizing their presence in all kinds of social, political, economic and cultural contexts.
Communication proposals, between 250-300 words, with the indication of the table of the Session to which it is addressed and a brief CV (of 200 words) can be sent from the day of the launch of this call for communications until April 29 from 2022 to:ana.cabana@usc.es
