Interuniversity Master in Contemporary History 2021-2022

APPLICATION FOR PLAZA COURSE 2021/2022 OPEN IN THE INTERUNIVERSITY MASTER'S DEGREE IN CONTEMPORARY HISTORY OF THE USC

 

 

On June 7, the deadline for applying for a place in the Interuniversity Master's Degree in Contemporary History of the USC opened. The period will remain open until July 20. The list of admitted will be made public on July 29 and registration (1st registration) will take place between July 30 and August 2.

 

The one for the 2021/2022 academic year will be the sixteenth edition of an interuniversity Master's degree recognized in 2006/07 with the “Quality Mention” from the Ministry of Education and in which, in addition to the University of Santiago de Compostela, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​the University of the Basque Country, the Complutense University of Madrid, the University of Zaragoza, the University of Cantabria, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the University of Valencia and the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) and Through them, many of the most prestigious areas and teachers of Contemporary History of the Spanish university system. Students can take up to 15 credits (three elective subjects) in different venues from the one where they formalize their enrollment. The Master offers the possibility of choosing from more than 100 optional subjects.

 

This Master is aimed mainly at Graduates in History, but also in other careers in Humanities and Social Sciences (Journalism, Political Sciences, Sociology, Anthropology, Economic Sciences, etc.). Its objective is to train researchers in Contemporary History, but the advanced training that students receive is also most useful in professional fields such as publishing, journalism, documentary or activities related to the third sector / NGOs ...

 

The Curriculum of this face-to-face Master consists of a total of 60 credits, of which 10 are compulsory (“online teaching” and “conference cycle”); 30 electives and 20 correspond to the Final Master's Project (TFM).

 

The expected duration of the studies is one academic year and the approximate price at the USC headquarters is € 600 (2020/20219 course fees.

Forms of conflict and rural violence in contemporary Europe (1º C) 

Conflict and violence in Latin America (1st C) 

Violence, historical knowledge and the politics of memory (2nd C) 

Latin American culture or politics in contemporary times (2º C) 

Women and the rural world: work, consumption and sociability (2º C) 

Forestry, hydraulic and colonization policies in contemporary Spain (2º C)
