Laura Cabezas Vega holds a PhD in Contemporary History from the University of Granada (2024) and is a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Her research focuses on the relationship between gender and agricultural policy in 20th-century Spain, particularly in the context of Francoist colonisation, which was the subject of her doctoral thesis. She has undertaken research stays at the University of Paris VIII and the Institute of Contemporary History in Lisbon, and her research work has been published in various journals such as Historia Social, Arenal. Revista de Historia de las mujeres and Historia Agraria. She is the author, together with Teresa María Ortega, Ana Cabana and Silvia Canalejo, of the book Mujeres y agricultura en la política española del siglo XX (Women and Agriculture in 20th-Century Spanish Politics) (Cátedra, 2024).
