The HISTAGRA Group organises the GALEUSCA 2023 Congress on 5-6 October

One hundred years after the first Galeusca Pact, signed in 1923, the VII Galeusca-History Congress calls for a historical reading of the present, to look at the past from the questions of today's historiography. With a defined chronology, the century that has elapsed since the creation of the Galeusca Pact up to the present day, the meeting is an invitation to take part in a plural perspective, with Europe and the world in mind, centred on the history of this time and on the historiography of all times, but open to contributions from the other social and human sciences.

The conference will take place from 5 to 6 October 2023 at the Faculty of Geography and History of the USC and is articulated around two lines of work articulated in three historical patamares, with the aim of reflecting on the past and the historiography of the territories and societies of Galeusca: one focused on the Galeuscan political proposals - wholesale and separately - throughout this century and another on the history and memory of the uncomfortable past.
