About the work of Stefania Barca:

The article assumes that the planetary ecological crisis (the so-called Anthropocene) is related to a radical rearrangement of the interactions between society and the biosphere, generated by capitalist/industrial modernity. The latter considers the "forces of production" (science and industrial technology) as the main factor of progress and well-being, while considering reproduction (both human and non-human) as a passive instrument of production and infinite expansion of the Product.
