UTAD anthropologist Xerardo Pereiro donates to HISTAGRA a collection of interviews on the Galician-Portuguese Raia

UTAD professor Xerardo Pereiro has given the HISTAGRA Group 57 interviews on Franco's violence in the Galician-Portuguese raia. These are the works carried out in the framework of a research project coordinated by Professor Pereiro in which UTAD students participated and where life stories were made, under the theme: The social memories of repression after the war Spanish civilian in the Galician-Portuguese Ray.

The proposed research program focused on the problem of repression after the Spanish Civil War and its social consequences on the Portuguese-Galician line. Since the Luso-Galician line is wide, the problem of research on the dry line was delimited territorially, specifically Trás-os-Montes (municipalities of Chaves and Montalegre) with Galicia. There was also a tasting in the municipality of Vinhais, a neighbor of A Gudiña and Vilardevós (Ourense).

The research technique chosen was the life story, as it fits perfectly with the research objective: It is through the lives of the interviewees that we can better understand that time and those spaces.
