New publication of the HISTAGRA Group. 1936. A new story


Thirteen authors create "1936, a new story", a collective work that defines the bases for building a new story about a past as uncomfortable as that of the Civil War.

In 2016, an international congress was held in Santiago de Compostela that under the title "1936 A New Story? 80 years, between history and memory" various specialists in civil war, violence and dictatorship, and from different areas of the social sciences, they debated for several days an extensive program where new academic concerns about the war and its study were brought to the table.

From that congress, and after several work meetings, some of the participants managed to build this publication, of collective authorship through a new collaborative way of working. The HISTAGRA Group, which has already carried out works of this type, is extremely satisfied with the work, waiting for it to be of interest and utility to the public.
