HISTAGRA in the conference Contact areas between agrarian history and the history of science: Analysis perspectives, case studies and future projects
Valencia September 20, 2019
HISTAGRA researcher Lourenzo Fernández Prieto is present at the conference Contact areas between agrarian history and the history of science: Analysis perspectives, case studies and future projects held in Valencia on September 20. He will present the work, "EL INIA: Destruction of science in Francoism and reconstruction without memory in the transition"
About work:
The state system of agrarian innovation of the Franco dictatorship has two characteristic features apparently contradictory but in fact complementary because both mark a radical break with the past: 1) bankruptcy with the liberal institutional model and 2) the implementation of radically rupturist models: first paradigmically fascist and autarkic - in its Spanish national-syndicalist version - it fails at the same time that European fascism in 1945; the second is the North American European postwar model that is implanted with hardly any endogenous rereading after 1955.
