Cristina Moreiras-Menor is a professor of Peninsular Studies (Spanish) and Women's Studies at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on modern and contemporary Spain (including peripheral national communities such as Galicia, Catalonia and the Basque Country). He carries out his research from the theoretical perspectives of psychoanalytic, political and feminist thought. She is the author of Cultura herida: Literature and cinema in democratic Spain (Madrid, 2002) and editor of a monographic issue of the Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies entitled "Critical interventions on violence". She has published numerous articles on women Spanish writers, violence, cinema, transculturation, etc. She is working on a book about Galicia and issues related to nationalism, language, history and women's writing.
