Lourenzo Fernández Prieto participate in the colloquium: Les silences et les dissonances de la mémoire européenne aujord'hui

The HISTAGRA group is present at the International Colloquium Les silences et les dissonances of the européenne aujord'hui mémoire, organized by the Université Jean Monnet de Saint-Étienne

The aim of the seminar is to explain the "deficit of historicization and therefore of nomination", in the words of Denis Crouzet, in Europe. A deficit of self-consciousness and, ultimately, self-esteem and self-control. It is through history that we can try to arrive at a better understanding of what Europe is: it is not a product of providence or biological, geographical or ethnic determinism, but "a fact of history" (Lucien Febvre) or a " cultural grammar "(Fernand Braudel).

The researcher of HISTAGRA Lourenzo Fernández Prieto participates in the meeting on Wednesday, December 19 with the work: The memory of the Franco regime in Spain: reconciliation or dissimulation?
