Próximo seminario de HISTAGRA con Fernando Collantes (U. de Zaragoza)
O vindeiro 26 de febreiro de 2016 ás 12:00h da mañá, Fernando Collantes (U. de Zaragoza) impartirá a conferencia: ¿De un capitalismo organizado a otro desorganizado?: mercados, empresarios y políticos en la coordinación de la cadena láctea española (de 1952 a la actualidad).
Será no marco dos seminarios que o grupo HISTAGRA celebra cada ano no Aula de máster do Departamento de Historia Contemporánea e de América da Facultade de Xeografía e Historia.
Fernando Collantes é doutor en Economía. Desde 2001 é profesor de historia e institucións económicas na Universidad de Zaragoza. Actualmente é director da revista Ager. O tema principal das súas investigacións foi o desenvolvemento rural en perspectiva histórica (s. XIX e XX). Entre os seus últimos traballos esta (xunto a V. Pinilla), Peaceful surrender: the depopulation of rural Spain in the twentieth century (2011) .
Sobre a conferencia:
Conventional wisdom has it that the modern food system has transitioned from organised to disorganised capitalism. An era of extensive State intervention between around 1930 and 1980 would have been followed by an era of deregulation and increasing coordination through markets after around 1980. This article uses the case of Spain’s dairy chain to propose an alternative view. In Spain there certainly were elements of organised dairy capitalism between 1952 and 1986, as well as elements of deregulation and liberalisation from 1986 onwards. However, the structure of economic coordination involved some combination of market and non-market mechanisms all the way through. The organised capitalism of the first period was not really so tightly organised, and much of its later “disorganisation” was in fact a transition towards a different mode of “organisation”: one in which the control of non-market mechanisms shifts from political to corporate hierarchies
