HISTAGRA Research Seminars: Amira Santos (CONICET) and Tatiana García (IIGG, UBA)
On 12 May at 12 noon in Lecture Theatre 11 of the Faculty of Humanities in Lugo, the HISTAGRA Research Seminar Series 2025–2026 will take place. In this new instalment, researchers Amira Santos (CONICET) and Tatiana García (IIGG, UBA) will present their work on rural sociology, which they are currently developing at the University of Buenos Aires and at CONICET. They will be introduced by HISTAGRA researcher Alba Díaz-Geada
Their presentations, in a round-table format, are:
Amira Santos: Agua, hábitat y ruralidad. Transformaciones socioproductivas en el Valle Inferior del Río Chubut, Argentina.
Tatiana García: Soberanía alimentaria y actores productivos emergentes: alternativas y diversificaciones en territorios rururbanos de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Amira Santos holds a degree in Sociology and is a secondary, teacher training and special needs teacher of Sociology. She currently holds an internal doctoral fellowship at CONICET. She is a specialist in Sociology, Social Communication and Demography, History and Geography.
Tatiana García is a specialist in rural sociology – Agrarian Social Studies (Sociology, Social Communication and Demography).
