Histagra receives a donation of materials from researcher Plácido Carro Lamas


On 14 October at 12 noon in the Staff Room of the Faculty of Geography and History, in a ceremony presided over by Dean Antonio Miguez Macho, researcher Plácido Carro Lamas, biographer of military officer Antonio Azarola Gresilló, rear admiral in 1936 and assassinated by the coup violence that summer, will donate to the HISTAGRA Group the documentation used to carry out the work that was recently published under the title, Rear Admiral Azarola, a man of honour.


The material, which will be deposited at CISPAC, consists of period books, photographs, and various documents that narrate the public and private life of the military man Azarola, from his beginnings in the military to his assassination in Ferrol in August 1936.
