HISTAGRA's series ‘Incómodos pasados’: Round table Antifranquismo, los y las protagonistas (Anti-Francoism, the protagonists)

 

On 10 and 17 March 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the Facultade de Xeografía e Historia da USC there will be two round tables on anti-Francoism in Galicia with the participation of protagonists of the political and social movements of the seventies in Galicia.

 

The activity is organised by the HISTAGRA Group and is part of the 3rd year History course: Contemporary History of Spain. S. XX

 

On the round table on 10 March, the following will take part:

 

Manolo Reboiras, militant of the UPG-Teis.Vigo, brother of X. R. Reboiras, assassinated in the 20th century. R. Reboiras, murdered in Ferrol, 1975.

Carlos Barros, student movement (SDE) and clandestine leader of the PCG, Castrelo, Vigo 1972.

Modesto Pose Mesura, medical student and underground socialist militant (PSOE).

Carlos Vázquez, consiliary of the Catholic Workers' Youth (JOC) in 1966, member of the ANPG. Madó Domínguez, activist in social and neighbourhood movements in Compostela and trade union activist. Nanina Santos Castroviejo. Course Committees, she belonged to the Federation of Communists that would merge with the MCC. She took part in the creation of La G M (1976).

 

At the table on 17 March, the following will participate:

 

Encarna Otero was active in the student and nationalist movement from 1967. She went into exile in 1971 in Toulouse.

Manuel Monge from Valladolid, active neighbourhood, trade union and anti-Franco activist in the ORT.

Luís Gonçales Blasco ‘Foz’ Youth Council (1962), UPG (1964), exiled, signed Brest Charter. Carlos Baliñas. Candidate for Senate 1977 for the Galician Democratic Candidacy.

Anxela Loureiro was a militant of the XXCC of Ferrol and CCOO of commerce.

Alfonso Tellado was a Bazán worker since he was a child, and an active trade unionist militant during the transition.
